An aspect of my job I treasure greatly is helping individuals experience personal growth, whether this occurs in the form of personal achievements, academic success, attaining a sense of safety in the world, or increasing their functioning within relationships. I have an engaging, interactive, and supportive therapeutic style that is focused on meeting goals set in collaboration with the individuals and/or families with whom I have the pleasure of working. I believe in a multisystemic approach to therapy and assessments that is tailored to each individual’s/family’s unique needs.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient/residential treatment settings for youth, forensic environments, court settings, private practice, child advocacy centers, and children’s hospitals. Some of my areas of specialty include assessment and treatment of trauma disorders, anxiety-related concerns, and concerns related to attachment. I also work with the juvenile court system, the foster care system, and provide Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
