For more than 20 years, I’ve helped individuals and couples find their way through the moments that test them most: anxiety that won’t let up, depression, grief, divorce, and relationships that feel stuck in the same painful loops. My approach is warm, practical, and focused on action. You’ll leave sessions with a clearer understanding of what’s happening and concrete tools to change it.
Individual therapy. I work from cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal approaches to help adults recognize the patterns that keep them stuck, quiet the harsh inner critic, manage stress and anxiety, and build more satisfying relationships. Many of my clients are women navigating major life transitions, caregiving, career demands, and relationships while trying not to lose themselves in the process.
Couples therapy. When partners feel disconnected or keep having the same fight, it’s rarely about the dishes or the money. Using evidence-based couples approaches, I help partners identify the cycle they get caught in, understand what each person needs underneath it, and practice new ways of talking, repairing, and reconnecting.
Premarital counseling. I also enjoy working with engaged couples who want to build a strong foundation before the wedding. In a semi-structured series of sessions, we explore the areas that challenge even happy couples: conflict, finances, family expectations, intimacy, and roles at home. As a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, I use an evidence-based couple assessment alongside research-supported tools from leaders in the field, including Drs. John and Julie Gottman, Dr. Janis Abrahms Spring, and Dr. Emily Nagoski. Couples leave with a shared language and practical skills they’ll use for years.
