Treatment Approach

I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced neurological injuries, medical conditions, or other changes that may affect cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral functioning. As a rehabilitation-trained neuropsychologist, I view the neuropsychological evaluation as more than a series of tests. I use the evaluation to provide clarity, direction, and access to resources that can support clients and their families.

I am particularly passionate about working with individuals and families navigating the impact of brain injury. I recognize the importance of advocacy and believe that clients deserve meaningful answers about the changes they are experiencing and guidance about what to do next. I take the time to develop a comprehensive understanding of each individual, including their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, emotional functioning, behavioral presentation, medical history, and everyday experiences. I consider how these factors interact and affect functioning at home, school, work, and within the community.

Following the evaluation, I collaborate with clients and their families to provide diagnostic clarity, maximize strengths, identify appropriate supports and resources, and develop a detailed, individualized plan for moving forward. My goal is for clients to leave the evaluation with a better understanding of themselves and practical recommendations that help them move toward greater independence, participation, and quality of life.

Training Background – Clinical Neuropsychologist

I am a licensed psychologist in Georgia who specializes in clinical neuropsychological and psychological assessment. I am a fellowship-trained clinical neuropsychologist with specialized training in rehabilitation neuropsychology and the assessment of individuals across the lifespan with neurological injuries and complex medical conditions.

I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Mercer University, where I also obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH). I completed my doctoral internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital of The Ohio State University. I subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation clinical neuropsychology at Emory University School of Medicine and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
