Neurodevelopmental assessments are designed to explore how brain-based differences affect thinking, learning, behavior, communication, and day-to-day functioning. These assessments help clarify the presence of conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disability, language disorders, and other developmental differences.

At PFPA, we provide neurodevelopmental assessments for individuals across the lifespan – from toddlers just beginning to communicate to adults navigating late-diagnosed neurodivergence. We assess individuals ages 12 months through adulthood. Our goal is to offer clarity and insight in a way that is affirming, collaborative, and practical. We don’t simply deliver diagnoses – we pride ourselves in helping individuals and families understand the “why” behind challenges and the “how” behind moving forward.

You might seek a neurodevelopmental assessment if:

  • A young child isn’t meeting developmental milestones in communication, play, or behavior
  • A parent or provider is wondering about autism, ADHD, or a developmental delay
  • Social communication, flexibility, or sensory experiences are causing challenges
  • You or your teen/adult child are questioning a previously missed diagnosis
  • A current diagnosis doesn’t feel like the full picture—or no diagnosis has been made yet
  • You’re seeking support or documentation for school, workplace, or therapeutic services

Our team brings deep expertise in childhood through adulthood neurodevelopment, and every assessment is tailored to meet the needs of the individual. We collaborate with families, schools, therapists, and medical providers as needed to ensure the most meaningful outcomes.
