Treatment Philosophy

My goal is that whatever your current challenge is, we can work together to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and connected. Starting therapy can often feel intimidating or scary, and I am committed to helping you work toward a place of empowerment. In our work together, my hope is to see and understand you as a whole person. I seek to explore the challenges bringing you to therapy as well as to draw attention to what gives your life meaning.

I see therapy as a collaborative process; It is important to me that you build confidence in your own decision-making, deepen your self-understanding and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself and your emotions. I feel honored to serve as a partner with you as we peel away the protective layers no longer serving you. I welcome and celebrate the unique identities, values, and lived experiences that you bring into the therapy space. I am committed to upholding values of social justice and fostering advocacy in systems of oppression.

Approach

I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on increasing psychological flexibility—helping you adapt, grow, and build a meaningful life even in the face of difficulties. My approach helps clients shift from analyzing their struggles to understanding and caring for themselves in a more holistic way.

I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Relational-Cultural Therapy, depending on what best supports your needs, identities and therapy goals. I value authenticity in the therapy space and strive to create an environment where you feel safe to show up as you are. My personal style is relaxed, genuine, and laidback, balancing humor and lightheartedness with sensitivity and empathy.
