As a Multiracial Woman of Color, I have a passion for working with members of marginalized communities, including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color). My method of therapy focuses on a personal approach that works best for each client’s personality and presenting issue. I find it a joy to help others find hope amid their pain and believe that healing happens within the context of relationships. I enjoy unraveling and getting to the root of the presenting issue. I strive to create a warm, authentic, non-judgmental environment that encourages clients to gain awareness of themselves. I believe in meeting people right where they are and that everyone has within them the capacity for growth, change, and joy.
Although my passion is working with marginalized communities I also enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I understand that many clients come to therapy with personal spiritual beliefs. I have a background in ministerial work, and upon request, I offer the integration of a Christian faith-based approach into therapy. I work with individuals from any religious/non-religious, or cultural background and I am happy to discuss the importance of other faith perspectives in your life as well.
