I am a clinical psychologist and have been in practice since 2003. I am an action-oriented clinician and I have worked with individuals, couples and families on a wide range of clinical issues, such as depression, anxiety, divorce, grief, trauma and relationship issues. Working from a cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal approach, my goal is to help individuals identify and change maladaptive life patterns, develop more balanced attitudes towards themselves and others, develop more satisfying relationships, and improve the ability to manage stress and anxiety.
I also provide pre-marital therapy for engaged couples. My goal for pre-marital therapy is to help you explore some of the more challenging aspects of marriage such as conflict resolution, financial concerns, and sexual disharmony to name a few. The tools and strategies explored will empower you to competently address and resolve marital issues. These sessions are semi-structured and formatted to provide the latest relationship management tools based on the works of some of the foremost authorities in marital therapy (e.g., Drs. John & Julie Gottman, Dr. Janis Abrams Spring, Dr. Pat Love). As a certified Prepare/Enrich counselor, I also utilize P/E’s evidence-based skills and information, along with other research-supported techniques to empower couples to build a stronger connection.
