I believe therapy is a deeply personal endeavor and it is critical to find a therapist who is the right fit. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of life experiences, perspectives, opinions, attitudes, and values. I love witnessing clients expand their comfort zones, overcome fears, and live life more freely and authentically. My ambition is to always to shine light on client’s personal strengths, helping them to achieve a strong and positive sense of identity and purpose. Expanding my clients’ support systems and enhancing their relationships are often a focus of therapy, as well. As such, I often incorporate family members when appropriate.
I have training in a variety of interventions but typically utilize cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and supportive therapy approaches. My clinical experience includes providing therapy in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, juvenile detention centers, an eating disorder recovery program, a dialectical behavioral therapy program, and private practice. Some of my specialties are anxiety, grief and loss, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and high functioning autism.
