I believe people have the inherent capacity to heal and grow. To support this change, I provide a nonjudgmental, warm, and collaborative therapeutic space. I will work with you to tap into your strengths, gain insight into behaviors that might currently feel stuck or confusing, and learn skills to empower you to effectively deal with stress and emotional ups and downs.
My approach is tailored to your specific goals and circumstances, and typically includes a mixture of traditional “talk” therapy with mindfulness, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed practices. I am committed to an inclusive approach that welcomes all experiences.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, Florida, and New York. Previously, I worked in university and hospital settings, as well as a somatic group therapy practice.
In addition to the standard mental health training, my education included considering how a person’s current or former (or possibly complicated) relationship to spirituality and religion might impact their well-being. If this is a part of your experience, please know it is welcome in sessions. If you are not religious or spiritual, you, too, are welcome—I will only bring this aspect of my training in if you indicate it is relevant.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in design and publishing. I am a Georgia native who recently returned after living in New York City for 20 years.
