Treatment Philosophy

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of social, emotional and behavioral concerns for children, from very early childhood through adolescence. With assessment, my goal is not just to provide a diagnosis, but to identify the unique strengths of each child and how those strengths can be utilized for children to reach their fullest potential. For treatment, I specialize in parent training and behavior management strategies for behavior concerns in younger children, especially for neurodiverse children, and in self management strategies related to Autism, ADHD, Specific learning disabilities, anxiety, OCD, depression for older children. My focus for therapy is goal directed. I want to make sure the families I work with feel they have clear and established goals for therapy and are always working on making progress toward those goals. I also was trained as a school psychologist and have extensive experience in school-based psychoeducational testing, functional behavior assessments and behavior improvement plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 plans, and school and IEP consultation and advocacy.
